1. Help others and be willing to be helped
Helping to care for other people such as the children in the orphanage or the needy will go a long way in sustaining them. Your dress will also make you feel good. You also have to learn to ask for help. Many people would prefer to give support rather than accept one because they believe they’re fine. As human beings, we get worn out and stressed by work or school, but if you feel you’re breaking, you should seek therapy or join a support group.
2. Create your routine
Create a schedule that works best for you and be dedicated to it. This schedule is to enable you to do things at your own pace and convenience. If you’re a student, you should link a specific time and place to study every day, so your grades don’t suffer. Your schedule should also include appropriate and adequate times for sleep.
3. Stay physically active
Your physical health and emotional or mental health are interconnected, and as such, you should try as much as you can to take care of your body and stay fit. Eat balanced food and take dietary supplements instead of eating a lot of junk food. It would be best if you also had workout sessions where you can exercise frequently. Remember to avoid smoking, usage of addictive substances or drugs, sugary beverages, and alcohol.
4. Accept your flaws and strengths
Accept your beautiful self. Every human being has flaws, and that’s what makes them unique in their way. If you’re too self-conscious about your faults, you will put yourself in a cage, which can significantly lower your self-esteem and the quality of your mental health.
5. Don’t hesitate to take a break
Whenever you feel overwhelmed by anything, whether work or school or relationships, you should take a break and reflect on the situation, which helps you clear your head and make better decisions, you can decide to spend the break taking a walk or napping- whatever works for you.
6. Don’t bottle up emotions
Let it all out. Talk to somebody about your emotions. Bottling feelings will affect your mental health severely, and when this becomes a continuous experience, it could lead to a mental illness. Talking to a trusted friend about your feelings reduces the emotional burden or weight on you, instantly making you feel better.
